Currently, I'm based in Colorado, but I was raised in the Green Mountains in Vermont. I have a bachelor's degree in political science from Tufts University and a master's in journalism from NYU.

On my first day ever reporting for The Washington Post, I had two stories published above the fold about a mass shooting at a grocery store in Boulder. I have since written several front-page stories for The Post, including coverage of major wildfires.
